Tesla launched its long-awaited Model X SUV last week in the San Francisco Bay Area. Tesla's SUV is one of the most eagerly anticipated vehicles in recent memory. The company said it already had more than 25,000 orders, with a backlog of 8 to 12 months.

The launch of the model was a success and was witness by hundreds of thousands of people around the world. The new model X is unique in the automotive world and its significantly delayed release was mostly attributed to the advanced technology used to build the car. "We probably should have just modified the Model S. There are so many more features and difficult to build parts on the Model X than it is necessary for us to sell the cars", said Elon Musk, Tesla Motors' CEO.
